Run with your Heart Trail Challenge 8k

The Run with your Heart Trail Challenge reached its capacity for registrations on January 23rd. The waiting list for additional registrations was closed on January 30th. Invitations to a limited number of individuals on the wait list were sent on February 2nd. No further registrations will be added for the 2010 run. COURSE:

Race to benefit the Center for Families and Children

RFID timing system by Cleveland Plays Racing

8K/4.9 miles, dirt bridle trails, major and minor rolling hills, one stream crossing

15K/9.3 miles, completes main course loop twice

Race start: 9:30am for 8K, followed shortly by the start of the 15K, Course limited to the first 200 registrations

WHERE:

Willoughby Hills, Ohio, Cleveland Metroparks, North Chagrin Reservation, River Grove Picnic Area, Chagrin River Road, in between Chardon and Wilson Mills Roads

On site parking limited to 138 cars. Please arrive early, carpool, and be courteous. Overflow parking directly across the street from race start at Old River Farm and at nearby Squire’s Castle.

RACE PERKS:

Beautiful, well-marked, Cleveland Metroparks course with a great chance for cold temps and snow! (Help us keep the park this way—no littering on course!)

All registrants receive heavy-weight nylon, zippered tote bag and a winter hat

Post-race party following with food and hot beverages

Post-race raffle for all pre-registered runners

2 enclosed heated shelters and 1 open shelter with roaring fireplaces at race start/finish

4 bathrooms at race start/finish, multiple water stops

Race photographer and music on course

Opportunity to sample the course with group training runs, details to be emailed to registrants and published at www.c4fc.org/trailrun

RACE FEES:

Early Bird: 8K-$20 and 15K-$25, online or postmarked by 12/31/09

Pre-Registered: 8K-$23 and 15K-$30, mail-in postmarked by 2/8/10, online by 2/12/10

Race Day Registration: 8K-$25 and 15K-$33

If registrations are still available, will begin by 8:00am and close promptly by 9:00am
